Apple adds locations of bikes & docking stations in 344 cities with Ito World data
Apple has today incorporated a new global bike share data feed into Apple Maps, showing the location of bikes and docking stations for bike share schemes around the world. The bike share data feed, which automatically quality-assures, standardises and consolidates public bike share data from a number of global operators, is provided by Ito World, a company that specialises in enhancing and visualising complex mobility data to help solve global transportation challenges.
Ito World’s bike share data feed shows the locations of bikes and docking stations for 179 cities (and counting) including 176 bike share systems for a total of more than 12,810 points of interest.
Launched late last year, Ito World’s bike share data feed is the first commercially available, global bike sharing data set provided as a single feed.
